HTTP to HTTPS Redirect using htaccess in WordPress

Websites, be it an online store or blog adding a SSL reduces the chances of the website getting hacked. Getting a SSL at $75/year alone will not make the site secure from hijacking unless SSL is properly configured. By default on SSL Certificate integration the site will be accessible through http and https roots. All the requests to the webserver on the non-secure root (http) needs to be redirected to its corresponding secure root (https). Here’s a quick tutorial on how to redirect the traffic from http to https for all the URLs on the wordpress website using a .htaccess file method.
